Zertia Announces Open source Practice

ATLANTA, GA (May 6, 2008)- Zertia has announced it is expanding its range of business technology solutions with the addition of an Open source practice, lead by long time eZ Systems partner Luke Barton.

"We will be offering commercial Open source solutions alongside our Microsoft practice,” said Zertia President Dan Kenoe. "We’re officially technologically agnostic. Our clients’ needs, existing infrastructure and budget dictate the type of solution we deliver.”

Open source Evangelist Luke Barton described the opportunities presented by Open source. "Rather than building each software application from scratch with proprietary code, Open source encourages the use of pre-built and proven components that can be configured and integrated to suit specific needs,” he said. "That means in many cases we can deliver bigger projects, faster and at a lower overall cost to our customers. Sugar CRM and eZ Systems are proof of the huge success commercial Open source can produce at the enterprise level.”

Zertia will continue to develop and service Microsoft applications for clients, according to Kehoe. "We provide first class solutions to our customers, regardless of whether the technology platform is Microsoft or commercial Open source.”
